What is the Norris Shores Social Club?
The NSPOA Social Club has been in existence for 10+ years now.
There haven't been too many of us on the committee in the past, some due to lack of full time residents and partly due to the fact there wasn't a lot to be done.
In the beginning we only decorated for the Halloween party.
Then the Christmas party came into existence.
And finally the Chili Cook Off.
Not too may years ago, it was decided the committee would be in charge of presenting new full time residents with a "Welcome" basket to welcome them to Norris Shores as well as give then a face or two they could feel comfortable calling if they needed any help or information. Over time, this went by the wayside as there wasn't a lot of property selling; and very few new full residents were moving in.
Now, things are beginning to change.
We have more full time residents who are willing to become involved with our community and are taking a new interest.
This is where the committee comes into play...we need new people to help us come up with new ideas, new suggestions and new bodies to help us get these things accomplished!
Presently the committee plans/organizes the Halloween Party/Chili Cook-Off in October and the Christmas party in December. Plus, there are still a lot of months in the year for us to plan something as a community in the spring or summer.
Please feel free to come join us - bring up new fun ideas for our neighborhood.
If interested in participating please contact Jan Bailey at 278-3916 or by email at baileys4tn@cs.com.

Halloween Happenings 2009!
Postponed from a rainy October 31 to Saturday November 7, an estimated 50 or more costumed people partied at the Marina under a clear star-filled autumn sky.
A huge bonfire warmed the crisp, cool autumn air, while delicious food warmed the stomachs of the hearty souls.
Congratulations to new resident Geri Crews for her contest winning chili!
DJ Dennis McNabb provided the music which included karaoke entertainment for all the trick or treaters.
Thanks Social Committee for the fine event!
